Transfer to a small airtight container once bag is opened.
SR flour - mix 2-2 tsp of salt skip with 1 metric cup (250g) of plain flour, sift several times
Baking powder - use 21/2 tsp in a recipe that calls for 2tsp regular baking powder
Generally, the plainer the mixture (less eggs/fat), the greater the need for more baking powder.
There is no 'use by' date and there is no special hurry to cook once mixed in due to controlled rise over the course of the baking time.
