Gluten Free Almond Flours
The difference between Almond Meal & Almond Flour. Almond meal is a wholefood made from unpeeled gound whole almonds so you get the antioxidants and higher fibre content ,as a guide use about a quarter part in your flour mix. Can be added to breads, meatballs or as a crumb for fish , chicken or vegetable burgers. Add to smoothies for extra protein.
Almond Flour is from peeled (blanched) Almonds giving it a finer texture similar to wheat flour and ideal for baking. Often used in cookies, muffins, pancakes or slices. Its ideal for baking gluten free or vegan desserts
As a rule don't sustitute one for the other or your recipe may turn out quite different. Both high in protein and essential fats and ideal for Gluten Free , Low Carb, Paleo or Keto Diets.
